The Homestead

Raven Ridge Homestead sits on a ten-acre ridgetop parcel in the Santa Cruz Mountains of Northern California. At just over 1,000 feet in elevation, the land opens wide to the San Lorenzo Valley below, with long sightlines, shifting light, and sunsets that stop you in place.

Although the region is classified as USDA Zone 9b, the ridge has its own microclimate. Sun reaches the property from early morning until the end of the day. Winters bring strong winds, while summers are defined by light, warmth, and steady air movement.

The property is mostly flat and usable, which is uncommon in this mountain region. Ravens pass over the ridge daily, circling on the wind and giving the homestead its name.

Raven Ridge is located at the end of the road in a quiet neighborhood. It is private by nature, and visitors arrive intentionally for workshops or scheduled experiences.

This homestead is shaped as much by weather, elevation, and exposure as it is by care and attention. The land sets the terms, and we work within them, season after season.

Below are a few ways to explore life at Raven Ridge.

Small, hands-on workshops focused on practical homesteading skills and intentional time learning on the land.

Seasonal food and herbal preparations made from ingredients grown in the Raven Ridge garden.
